BRAOU Backlog Exams: How to Apply, Fees & Rules

What Are Backlog Exams?

Backlog means subjects you failed or did not appear for in previous exams. BRAOU lets you write these papers again along with your current semester exams or in special backlog exam sessions.

Who Can Apply For BRAOU Backlog Exams?

Any BRAOU student who has:

  • Failed in one or more subjects
  • Did not appear for certain papers
  • Wants to improve marks in specific subjects

Both UG (BA, BCom, BSc) and PG (MA, MCom, MSc, MBA) students can clear backlogs.

Types of Backlog Exams

Regular Exam Sessions

You can appear for backlog papers during regular semester exams. For example, if you are in 3rd semester, you can write your 1st semester backlog papers along with your current semester papers.

Special Backlog Sessions

BRAOU conducts special exams for old batch students (usually 2016 and earlier batches) who have pending papers. These are announced separately on the website.

Step 2: Visit the Registration Portal

For UG Students:

For PG Students:

  • Go to www.braouonline.in/pg/examination/exam_home.aspx
  • Click on PG examination registration

Step 3: Login to Your Account

Enter the last 7 digits of your BRAOU admission number. Fill in other required details like batch year and semester.

Step 4: Select Backlog Subjects

  • Carefully select all pending or backlog subjects from the list
  • Choose the correct subject codes
  • Double-check before proceeding

Step 5: Verify Application Details

Before paying, check:

  • All backlog subjects are selected correctly
  • Subject codes are accurate
  • Exam center and study center details are correct
  • Medium of instruction is correct

Important: You cannot modify your application after paying the fee.

How Many Times Can You Attempt?
